Flat-rate pricing, decoded

Why some providers charge the same at every dose and what that means for your wallet.

The marketing claim

Most providers headline a price. Few make it clear whether that price holds at 2.5 mg, 5 mg, and 10 mg.

How dose-tiered pricing works

Higher doses cost the pharmacy more API. Providers who push the cost through to the patient charge more per month at higher titrations.

How flat-rate pricing works

Providers who absorb the higher API cost in exchange for plan-length commitments — typically 6 or 12 months — keep your monthly bill the same regardless of dose.

What to ask before signing

"Will my monthly bill change at 7.5 mg or 10 mg?" If the answer is anything other than "no," it is not flat-rate.
